Why Is Our Wash Scented but Our Cream Fragrance Free?

If you've tried our Head-to-Toe Wash, you may have noticed its soft Pear Vanilla scent.

And if you've tried our I-Got-You Cream, you may have noticed something quite different. It's fragrance free.

We've had a few people ask us why we made the two products differently, especially when so many people love the smell of the Wash.

The truth is, we put a lot of thought into this.

When we were developing Zojee, we didn't want to add things to our formulas just because they were expected. We wanted every decision to have a reason behind it.

That included fragrance.

Why did we add a scent to the Wash?

We wanted bath time to feel good.

Our Head-to-Toe Wash is a rinse off product, so we felt this was a lovely opportunity to add a little sensory experience without the scent staying on the skin afterwards.

We spent a lot of time trying different scents and going through different versions of the formula before we landed on our Pear Vanilla scent.

We wanted something soft and comforting. Something that made bath time feel a little more enjoyable, but wasn't too strong.

And honestly, hearing people tell us how much they love the smell has been really special.

We've also had feedback that the Wash lathers beautifully and leaves skin feeling hydrated.

Those details might seem small, but they mattered to us.

We wanted to create a wash that was gentle, but also something you actually looked forward to using.

So why is the Cream fragrance free?

This was a decision we thought about just as much.

Our I-Got-You Cream is a leave on product. It stays on the skin after you apply it, unlike the Wash which is rinsed away.

So when we were developing the Cream, we wanted to keep the formula simple and focused on what we felt mattered most.

Hydration.

Supporting the skin barrier.

A beautiful texture that feels comfortable on the skin.

And a cream that absorbs really well without feeling heavy or sticky.

That's why we chose to leave fragrance out.

It wasn't because we don't like scented skincare. We actually love the experience of using something that smells beautiful.

It was simply about thinking carefully about what made sense for a product that stays on the skin.

We could have made them smell the same

We know some people love the Pear Vanilla scent in the Wash and would love to have that same experience with the Cream.

And we completely understand that.

But when we were making these decisions, we kept coming back to one question.

What makes the most sense for this product?

For our Wash, adding a soft scent made sense to us because it is rinsed away and it makes bath time a little more enjoyable.

For our Cream, keeping it fragrance free made sense because it is a leave on product and we wanted to keep the routine simple.

Neither decision was made without a lot of thought.

Why we care about the little decisions

Creating Zojee has involved so many little decisions.

Some are obvious. Some probably aren't something you would ever notice.

But we've thought about all of them.

How the Wash feels.

How well it lathers.

How it smells.

How the Cream absorbs.

How the formulas feel on the skin.

And even whether fragrance belongs in each product.

We didn't want to create products that were simply "gentle".

We wanted to create products that felt good to use, while being thoughtful about what we were putting into them and how each product would be used.

That's why our Wash and Cream are a little different.

Two products. Two different purposes. One thoughtful routine for sensitive family skin.

And that's really what Zojee is about.
