The other day, I was chatting with a friend when she said something that really stuck with me.
"My brain never stops."
I laughed because I knew exactly what she meant.
As parents, our minds are constantly running.
What's going in the lunchboxes tomorrow?
What are we having for dinner tonight?
Do we have enough milk?
Are we running low on detergent, dishwashing liquid or dishwasher tablets?
Did I reply to that email?
When's the next appointment?
What forms still need to be filled in?
What have I forgotten?
It's like having a hundred tabs open in your brain at once.
No wonder we're tired.
For us, the mental load is a little heavier because we're raising a neurodivergent child.
There are therapy appointments to organise, different therapy options to research, finding the right therapists, meetings with educators, paperwork, funding applications and so many decisions to make.
Every decision comes from a place of love.
But every decision still takes energy.
Then there's everyday life.
For our family, it's just Jonathan and me.
We don't have a village to lean on, and I know so many families are in the same boat.
When one of us gets sick, it feels like everything comes crashing down. Usually one person gets sick, then another, then another.
The washing piles up.
The house gets messy.
Dinner becomes whatever you can throw together.
Sleep goes out the window.
And somehow, you're still expected to remember everything and keep life moving.
Parenting is the most rewarding thing I've ever done.
But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't also one of the hardest.
Over time, I've realised I can't take everything off my plate.
But I can make some things feel a little easier.
That's one of the reasons we created Zojee.
We didn't want parents standing in the bathroom wondering which product to use or whether it was gentle enough for sensitive skin.
We wanted to create simple, thoughtful essentials you can reach for every day with confidence.
Because when you're already carrying so much mentally, one less thing to think about really does matter.
One of my favourite parts of the day is after everyone's finally asleep.
The house is quiet.
The dishes are done... or at least done enough.
That's when I run myself a warm bath.
I add a little of our Head-to-Toe Wash to the water and just soak.
It's become my little ritual.
As mums, we don't get much time to ourselves.
There's always something that needs doing, someone who needs us or another job waiting.
Those twenty minutes in the bath are my chance to slow down, breathe and let the day go.
It's a reminder that gentle care isn't just for our children.
We deserve it too.
At Zojee, we know skincare isn't going to take away the mental load of parenting.
It won't organise your calendar, fold the washing or make the appointments disappear.
But if it can give you one small moment of calm...
If it can make one part of your day feel simpler...
If it can remind you to take a breath...
Then we've done what we set out to do.
To every parent carrying the invisible mental load, especially those doing it without a village, we see you.
We see your strength.
We see your resilience.
We see the love behind all the invisible things you do every single day.
From one parent to another, you're doing an incredible job.
We hope Zojee can make one small part of your day feel a little gentler.
